I build personal projects to stay close to the technology I work with professionally. Here's what I've been making.
guimail
An AI agent that processes forwarded emails and takes action on them autonomously — extracting calendar events with timezone detection, summarizing newsletters and long threads, logging expenses to Google Sheets, splitting costs via Splitwise, and retrieving flight details from FlightAware. Built on Google Gemini's tool-calling capabilities to orchestrate multiple integrations from a single natural-language interface.
guido
Brings the same AI agent capabilities of guimail to WhatsApp — parsing incoming messages and acting on them through the same suite of integrations. A practical experiment in extending agentic AI across different communication channels without duplicating the underlying intelligence.
guipt
The Firebase Cloud Function that powers the GuiPT chat on this site, now integrated into the website repo. Handles conversational queries about my background using Google Gemini Flash Lite, with multi-language support, input validation, CORS enforcement, and prompt versioning managed through Langfuse for quick iteration without redeployments.
on-air-sign
A Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W-powered NeoPixel ring that signals meeting and camera status for a home office — idle (off), in a meeting (yellow), or camera on (red). A Windows host monitor detects active conferencing apps across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddle, and Amazon Chime, then pushes state to the device. Launches automatically via Windows Task Scheduler.
guibot
A collection of Python monitoring scripts built out of frustration with refreshing pages manually: an availability checker for the official Olympics merchandise store with email alerts, and appointment trackers for German government offices (Foreigners Office and Driver's License) that fire an email or SMS the moment a slot opens up.
website
This site — built from scratch in vanilla JavaScript with no framework, no bundler, and no transpiler. Features the GuiPT AI chat, dark/light theming, English/Portuguese localization, and a CI/CD minification pipeline that runs on every push to the live branch. Firebase Firestore for chat logging, Cloudflare CDN for delivery, and Sentry for end-to-end observability.
daredevil
A personal app to log and browse adventures — travel, activities, and experiences — all in one searchable place. Built to scratch my own itch for tracking memorable moments without relying on third-party services or surrendering the data.
wednesdaychecker
A one-question web app born during the COVID-19 pandemic when the days all blurred together: is it Wednesday? Built in an afternoon as a joke for friends who kept losing track of the week. Somehow still online — and still useful.
